DIY Flowers

Is DIY right for you?

Before you commit to purchase DIY flowers, ask yourself the following questions:

  • Do you have enough time the week of your event to manage the pickup up, design, storage and set-up?
  • Do you have help to put the arrangements together?
  • Do you have a work space that is air-conditioned or cool where you can get things messy and wet?
  • Do you have all the tools you will need, including clippers (regular scissors will not cut stems)?
  • Do you have the ability to transport and/or store your bouquets once you are done designing/assembling them?

If you asked yourself the above and decided DIY is for you, read on!

Grower’s Choice

Grower’s Choice buckets are $100 for 60-80 stems. This does not include specialty cut flowers. The number will vary depending on stem size and value. Before your event, think about bouquet styles you like. It might be a good idea to purchase a few bouquets from a florist or me, disassemble them and experiment with types of vases and your design ideas. From this, you will be able to better estimate how many stems you will need per arrangement ahead of time and as a guide, one bucket should be enough to make 5 quart mason jar bouquets. You can request extra buckets of foliage/fillers, if needed.

We provide a good mix of focal, filler, foliage and accent flowers. Because we are a small farm and this is a special priced offer, we cannot adhere to a particular color palette. We provide the best of what’s in season at our farm. If you need specific colors, we will do our best to work with you on this.

Special color palette buckets are $125 for 60-80 stems and do not include specialty cut flowers.

By the Bunch

We charge bunch pricing for specific flowers or foliage. Standard bunches of most varieties are 10 stems. This option can be combined with Grower’s Choice buckets. Pricing is available by request.

Pick Up

You can pick up and pay for your flowers at our farm or make arrangements with us. Most people pick up their flowers on Thursday evening from 4:00 – 7:00 pm or Friday mornings from 9:00 am to 12:00 pm.

Since we deliver several days a week, we may be able to arrange a delivery that’s closer to your event. Please ask us and we will do our best to accommodate you; a reasonable delivery fee will be charged.

Flowers should look great for at least four days (and up to a week with proper care), but we recommend picking up your flowers as close to the time you want to arrange them as you can. Flowers will be freshly picked, well-hydrated and ready for your creativity!

A van or SUV with air conditioning is a good idea when you pick up. Just make sure the flowers are kept out of the wind and stay cool.

Buckets

You can either bring your own buckets or return ours. If bringing your own buckets, please make sure they are clean. Flowers last much longer in clean water. We charge a deposit of $5.00/bucket, which will be returned to you when you return the bucket. You are welcome to bring back flowers to be composted as well.
